Spring colour coding

I would like to fit a pair of rear t30 springs in my t32 . I have only done 2000 miles but I find the rear a bit hard . The front is fine as I carry my tools up behind the front seat but the back crashes about so I was hoping the softer t30 springs could just help. I have looked at mine and they have three silver paint marks on them so I was hoping vw use a colour code to identify the loading and if so what are t30s . As far as I had see I just need to disconnect the lower shock fixing to drop the arm .
I could of had a T30 but only had the mojave in t32 and it came with the Devan ports wheels for only £400 pound more and the t30 I drove did roll more on the front when coming into a rounderbout. I can find the springs on eBay but I want to be sure I get the correct model springs .
If anyone can help or has a link to this info it would be great.

No idea about Spring compatibility but have the springs of my t32 in a box and they have writing on them not markings, let me know if you need the writing
It's defo a job to do on a ramp, you don't need to take wheels off but after releasing bottom bolt the lower arm does not drop enough to release springs you need to pull it down, it needs quite a bit of force and I did it as a two man job would be a major struggle on your own, I went to local garage and did with the mechanic (someone I know) and it cost me £30

Hi @Keeff, how much are the springs on eBay? I've got a full set coming off my T30 next week as I'm having air ride system. I was going to hold onto the full set of springs in case I ever want to switch back so depends on how much they go for. If price is ok I might be interested in selling..... At least then you know you've got T30 ones.

image.jpeg image.jpeg They have rears on eBay from £35 a pair that why I thought I would give it a go. If I was you I would keep your set but if you could have a look to see if they have colour markings on them when they come off it would be helpful . I still have some racking to put in the back with tools to go in it so I will see if that helps but my last van a custom sport was only a 2900 kg van and used car tyres. Mine came with all weather tyres that look like winter tyres so I will see how they go over the winter as I drive across the new forest every day for work and they don't salt all the roads . Then I will give a normal set of load rated tyres a go. This is my first vw and so far it is a massive improvement over the custom as the first ,second and third gears are much better and cuts down on gear changes. I am getting 10 mpg extra over my normals runs I do to work and that's with the euro 5 engine .i have managed to fit my ford folding roofrack and it run with out noise and the same mpg on the motorway so I am happy with that. I will post a photo but I stil have to remove the adaptors I made and paint them black so it should all blend in .

Ok mate, I think for that price I will keep hold of them. I'll have a look at my shocks when I get them back on Friday. Nice van btw, love the colour :thumbsup:
