Spray squad campers

Hi, just wondered if there were any more reviews on these please? I’ve had a reasonable quote for a pop top but don’t know much about them. Thanks

Read the T&C’s on their website, that should be enough to put you off.

I can’t really find them? Reviews seem good on FB etc. They are local to me so might pop and have a chat, anything I should look out for whilst there or any questions to ask? I was leaning toward C&H but they are a distance, also good reviews but mixed opinions on here. Thanks again

Not sure how you can’t find them? From a quick Google Search
They have the right to remove and edit reviews

They look like some standard T&C they acquired rather than each term individually crafted. Reserving the right to control what appears on their own website seems fair enough to me. I would always look at some 3rd party review site rather than vendors own.

personally if I was spending a large chunk of cash (such as for a pop-top or camper conversion), the distance/convenience of location wouldn't really be a factor.
I'd rather take my van to the other end of the country to get the work done by a proven, reputable outfit than trust it to an unknown. If the place you're thinking of mess it up, you might be close by to get it back to them, but it could cost you just as much if not more to get it corrected and fixed!

Thanks for the info all and looking into them. I’ve just popped in and had a chat with them. Initial thoughts….very helpful, happy to show me the vans they were working on and went through different options for the pop top. The vans they had in were of a high standard (from what I know about conversions anyway). They regularly post on FB and have good reviews. Note taken about the terms but I suppose that’s how most small businesses need to run? I don’t know. Really tempted to book it in. The distance isn’t really a major factor for me and I’m happy to travel. Budget is though and from my research they are reasonably priced for a branded pop top (Westdubs). I’ll keep you posted. Thanks again.

Pre-conversion, that was my attitude and, for the most part, it still is. However, having chosen a converter 5 hours away from home, I would caution that each trip to visit the converter was expensive and time-consuming - 10 hours travelling, plus fuel costs, plus overnight accommodation costs for most visits... and I ended up visiting them far more often than I ever envisaged I would (initial visit, initial design consultation, detailed design consultation, supervision of handover of van from dealer to converter, pick-up of van, addressing of snagging list, warranty replacemnet of failed SIM, additional work I requested).

Just food for thought for anyone contemplating choosing a converter located miles away from home.
