I know it probably sounds like something out of Mork and Mindy but it is a website/app that lets you track your trip. It also allows you to let friends and family log onto a secure website (I appreciate secure is a relative term) and they can see your route, any photos of places you are staying, comments etc. It means you don't have to keep a written log.

I'll be honest it isn't very intuitive to set up and I suspect the website (Spotwalla) and the tracking tool (Gippy) are run by a single individual or a small group of individuals but I have managed to produce my first 'trip' added a photo and had it viewed 170 miles away by middle child. So I am getting the hang of it. However, I wish it was a straightforward as say Strava.

Has anyone used it and got any advice or does anyone use something that does the same thing but simpler?

I think Spotwalla struggles with Apple iOS tracking hence having to use the Gippy app as part of the process.
