Just wondering if anyone has used the sound deadening squares or insulation from Temu. I've just looked at at this and it looks pretty much the same as suppliers here are selling, but much cheaper.
Somebody did an honest test of the cheap stuff on here a while back. They found that the adhesive was terrible and ended up buying the good stuff on top of whatever the cheap stuff cost.
I haven’t tried the cheap stuff myself, and wish you the best of luck if you do, but I suspect it won’t be of the same quality at all.
Never had any issues with the cheaper products personally.
Prep the panel it is to be stuck to, use a heat gun to soften the adhesive, and it sticks just fine.
Have been sound deadening and insulating the van over Christmas. Ply panels not fitted and the products have been stuck fast over this cold festive break. No sign of failure and will monitor this over the coming weeks until I start to refit the panels again.
I wouldn't go with the cheapest, but personally haven't bothered with the most expensive either. Here in Germany there is a brand called ABM on Amazon, they do a decent 2.5mm thick variant which has been great. I did my right hand door with that, and (mistakenly perhaps) used thinner stuff on the left hand door which was not of the same quality and i swear the drivers door thuds more satisfyingly!

That was me... they looked the same on the listing but when I stuck a sheet of each on my tool box, the cheap one peeled off no bother. The Dodomat is still on there and I can't get it off .
Put it this way, I binned the cheap stuff and bought the proper stuff.
Genuine question... tell me why I should pick dodomat or similar reputable company for sound deadening and insulation over the cheaper Chinese stuff?
I've found these on TEMU, and I need someone to reassure me why the dodomat is worth the extra cash before I part with it.
From what I understand, the sound deadening is just self adhesive butyl sheets with a foil covered side and the insulation is closed cell foam with a self adhesive side and an aluminium foil side?
