Sony Walkman MP3 connection issue

Trying to get a new MP3 to pair with the standard media player in my 2015 T6. The MP3 and media player see each other and try to pair but I get a message on the media player saying "Not Connected. The selected profile is not supported by NW-A50Series (which is the MP3 model) or is not activated". The MP3 supports A2DP ver 1.3 and AVRCP ver 1.3 which I understand are pretty standard bluetooth profiles? Can anyone tell me what profiles the standard T6 media player should be supporting? Or suggest anything else I need to do that might get it to work. I had no issue pairing these devices with a phone and headphones previously.

Problem resolved. Firstly I had confirmed that the T6 standard infotainment device does support both the A2DP and AVRCP profiles. Went back to the MP3 support documentation which basically says, any problems with pairing then switch the Bluetooth option off and on - which obviously I had tried already. But after looking further I discovered a second place where I needed to turn it off and on - and hey presto, paired straightaway.
