Slightly ropey bit of video for which i apologise, but can anyone identify what this noise might be? Started fairly recently and quietens down a bit when the accelerator is pressed...

I'm wondering if it's the flywheel?

2019 T6 150 dsg

Thanks,
Dave

you need to post a link to the vid on youtube or other place.

or a link to your online gallery.

Jeez, that sounds rough.

Id say not the dmf, something else.

Does the sound change when you blip the throttle?

In gear, out gear?

It sounds like it's coming more from under the van versus the engine bay?

I’d be taking the sump off and checking big ends / bottom end.

I recall reading a thread on here where a main bearing cap bolt snapped.

Agreed, it does sound like it's coming from underneath, somewhere near the rear. It's been minor/intermittent for a few days, this is the worst it's been to date. In neutral. Quietens a bit when I press the accelerator.

Thanks all. I started her up again an hour ago and...no noise. Which has me a bit confused. I'm going to book her in with VW but in your opinions, should I get the AA to carry her to VW?
