Hi, I planning on putting a renogy solar panel on my van I already have the the Ctek D250se which is split charging when travelling or on hook up,so do I need a Vitron unit as well or is the CTek all I need ?

Thanks for your help

Depends on the VOC of the panel you buy. Has to be less than 23v to use the CTEK. If it’s over that you’ll need a separate MPPT charger

The ctek d250 wouldnt normally charge from EHU.

A see seperate mains charger needs to be fitted for that to work.... So assuming you gave one?

As above the CTEK can take solar panels up to VOC 23v / 20A .

And is a good starter point, makes initial outlay cheaper, good layout of your right on space.

But ultimately the best way is a stand alone mppt controller, like the Victron . Plus if you get the Bluetooth version you have an app to play with.

Yes it’s set up to charge leisure battery so looks like I only need to wire a panel into the ctek to top up my leisure battery when off grid.
