Solar panel / built in controller

Hello Guys

just wondering if anyone can answer this. It seems pretty obvious to me but i'm a newbie with solar so don't want to cock this up :)

I've just bought the solar panel in the image, a fold up setup of 2 panels. On opening it up, I notice it's got a small controller on the back of one of the panels, I already have a CTEK 250SA installed in my van.

So question is, do I just take this out of the setup in the pic by disconnecting the Anderson connectors and patching the 5m patch straight into the junction box on the left? Or do I leave the small controller in place and take the feed off that into my CTEK?

Any advice would be great! :)

You want to totally bypass the controller yes and go direct to the Ctek.

Only as long as the VOC of the solar panels is less than 23v otherwise you'll fry your CTEK

Yep, direct to the CTEK. Seems to make sense to me rather than this little crappy little controller? The open circuit rating is 21.5V so fine for the CTEK, it's only a combined 100W solar panel
