Sliding door won't open from the outside

Hello All,
Our 2016 T6 has an intermittent fault with the sliding door not opening. When it doesn't open, we are using the inside opener to get the door open. Unsure if this would be mechanical or electrical? The outside door handle has the same feeling if it opens or doesn't.
Any ideas before I mention it to the local garage. Thanks.

I had that on mine, it was the cable from the door handle not running freely because there was too much insulation in the door and it was snagging.

We do have a fair bit of insulation in the sliding door too. Will have a look. Thanks for advice.
