Has anyone fitted side steps and if so your thoughts please. I have the chance of being offered a pair (all be it I have to fit them!!) but want to check firstly from members on here. Wife is a small short woman (hope she does not read this) and thinks it might help her get in and out of camper.

Thank John

Steps are usefull. My misses is also vertically challenged and they have improved access, not just for her but everyone that gets in. Shouldn't take too long to fit once you work out where the brackets go. Make sure you get some levelling ramps to make life easier though.

Can I ask where the brackets go, I got these from 4X4 direct but no instructions. I contacted them but they just keep pointing me to a link for sidebars ( 2 brackets) .
Im assuming longest ones at front, medium in the middle and the short ones at the top 2nd and last.

I must admit to enjoying having removed my sidesteps. I had one damaged in a Morrisons carpark and managed to remove it with difficulty as the bolts underneath had rusted badly after 3 years. The other side had the exhaust for my Webasto attached to the underside of it, that was a £300 job to reroute the exhaust (including a full Webasto strip down and service).
I prefer the cleaner lines now and not having to stretch over it when getting in and out of the van.
I really only kept them on for our elderly labrador who used them to help him in and out of the van, side skirts for me next I feel...
