Measure voltage on your 20 pin plug (terminals 19 & 20) and see what the voltage readings are when it is plugged in and plugged out.

By chance have you stumbled upon any in depth schematics for E265 rear air con display unit? Maybe there is somebody who is repairing these? It's crazy how much they want on local scrap yards and ebay for these. 7e5907049b for sale | eBay

I have 7E5907049B for my T5.1 2012 and it looks like it's shorting internally.

Hey guys. I’m having the exact same
Problem as the Op. My poor pooches are gonna struggle without that rear blower working. I don’t suppose anyone on here has another spare unit? Can’t find one used anywhere!
