Shuttle 10 seats!!!!!!!!?????

Hi all.
I am in the early stages of negotiation of buying a 2007 T5 shuttle with 10 seats in total.
2 in the front 3, 2 then 3 in the rear leaving a very small boot.
I have been doing a bit of digging and haven't been able to find a listing of this as an original factory option.
The van is in good nick probably SE spec, leather, carpets ,AC ,electric doors etc. but the seat layout is baffling me.
The seats are quick release VW originals with the original floor mountings.
I am interested to know if anyone has an insight into whether this is a factory option or maybe the rear 3 seats and mountings have been retro fitted.

I thought was a European option only. The dimples are in the floor ready to accept the seats. Never seen one in the UK.

Also, unless you need that many seats, check with your insurer. I bought a 9 seat window van (kombi with extra row & windows in rear quarter) and dropping to 8 seats (SWMBO didnt like the double front seat anyway) made £1k difference to insurance - yes £1000 !!

you can remove seats and notify DVLA of the reduced capacity and insurers will accept that.

Thanks for your replies. Looks like it may be a European spec van, would it have been available in that spec in Ireland?
