Show and Shine members?.

Any T6F member a reguar to show and shine competions?
@Tourershine ?.

I've done my fair share of Show and Shine with previous vehicles, including winning Best Type2, and Best Mk4 Golf GTI.
I would love to enter my T6 in another if one comes up.
Why, what you thinking?

@Tourershine Just wonder really what was judged, without being simple.. how the marking system was done.. points for/against etc.

I guess it's down to the judges, but my experience is they look at everything. The actual finish of the bodywork is second to the finer details and some of these guys get into every crevis of a vehicle, not actually that far off concourse standards.
I guess initially you need the paint totally corrected and swirl/ hologram free to get full marks on that. Wheels inside and out, calipers, under arches, door shuts, glass, every inch of interior, boot, under and mats or carpets.
The list goes on, but you have to remember anyone can make a vehicle look clean and shiny, but these guys can look far deeper if there's a lot of the same vehicles to judge, because they need to mark accrdingly, so someone can actually win.

but on a serious note, I would love to have a go one year.. not a main event or anything like that, I don't think Bert would ever get to that stage.. lol

Even as a work vehicle with the sort of miles I do, I'd be confident I could get mine to a condition to be a contender against a lot of much lesser used and lower mileage T6s.
It would need a good 3-4 days of work prior, but it's a huge boost to win these things and becomes a bit of an obsession.

That was my thinking about it all.. mine isn't at all a show vehicle.. and may never be, but it be fun to go spend a bit of time really cleaning Bert and go up against the show only Vans.

I'd give you a run for your money! ;)

If that's a challenge, i'd be happy to take you on purely as fun and not business to business.

A long time ago, I made that offer to a large company that specialises in popular Caravan products, and the MD's son saw red and accepted my offer.
I'd recently been featured in Practical Caravan for our Restoration work, and they picked up on this and wanted to do a full on Mag feature 'David vs Goliath' they called it, because I was a small 1 man band back then, and they were, and still are far bigger.
It was meant to go down at the NEC show, but at the last minute the his father found out about this and called me. He carefully explained that something like this was never going to happen, because of the potential consequences if they lost against a small guy like me. He's now a good friend and kind of a mentor to my business, and he's got a lot of very wise advice he passes onto me.

So if you're asking if we'd compete against each other as individuals, baring in mind what we both do every day for businesses, then i'd publicly except that for fun at the next big show.

The ball is served back to you my detailing friend.....:cool:

I can see this being linked into my NT meets..
'T6FSS'(show and Shine).. £5 to enter... winner take all.. moderator to.judge..

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
