Those who’s vans are or have been on flexible service plans, what was the mileage on your first service.

Looking at my service record, it was 21,000 before my van had its first service from VW, which makes me think the previous owner ignored the service request. The previous owner was a gardener who used the van for his business and tow his trailer.

Does the ECU store historical service information?

The dealer will be able to give you any previous service history. The only thing that is monitored is from when the last service re-set was done to calculate to the next service due.
