I'm curious as to what people are doing with servicing for older T6 vans.
I've got a 2.0 manual T6 Caravelle which is now 10 years old and 93,000mi. I plan on keeping it for a few more years. It was serviced at VW service centres annually for most of the first 9 years of its life (I bought it at 2 years old), alternating between the smaller and larger services. I'm pretty skeptical about them doing much for the £300+ cost, so I just got the local indy garage to do an oil and and filter change for me last year instead.
Are there any recommended service items to bear in mind, or is just doing oil and filters annually sensible enough going forwards? I believe that the cam belt used to be recommended every 4 years (I got ours done in 2020 at 40,000mi along with the usual water pump) but that is no longer recommended, and it is just a case of monitoring?
