Service manual query

Hi everyone,

I purchased my first VW T6.1 van today from my local dealer, 12 month old, 1 owner. Made up with it. I noticed there was no service manual with the van and the salesman told me this is normal on newer vehicles as the service history is now all electronic.
Is this true or is the salesman kidding me?

You can ask your dealership politely for a print out of what's been done and history.

You can also buy your own book online and ask them to stamp that also.
