Seats with thigh support

Has anyone swapped out their drivers seat for something better and if so, any recommendations? I'm 6'3" (mainly legs) and I find the lack of thigh support unbearable. I've tried every combination of up down back forward but my right leg just aches. Feels like I'm just holding it up all the time. Sitting on the seat rather than in it.

Thanks

Get some if these! You'll never look back! I've driven big distance/long hours in them and never had any issues. In the standard seats id I felt like I was constantly supporting or readjusting myself. Im 6ft/18st BTW.

Yeah I know what you mean (6'5" and quite leggy). I put Golf GTI seats in my T5, they were much better. Strangely the ones in my 6.1 (which were trimmed and modified somewhat by @BognorMotors) are OK for me. Not sure what they do to them but it's a lot better than standard seats.

I have similar issues... I'm 6'2 (long legs) and get an unbelievably aching/numb right bum after only a couple hours of driving. Cranking the Caravelle seat all the way up and all the way back helps a little to give a bit of thigh support, but then I'm miles away from the steering wheel! I'm really not looking forward to 12hrs+ of driving to France in a few weeks!

I find myself sitting twisted with the side bolster under my right thigh after a while. Seats are definitely next on the list

Motorways aren't too bad with the cruise control. Mainly local driving

You're all the wrong height for a Transporter, I'm 5'6".... ok, 5'5" these days 🤕 and we drove around France for a month last summer not a numb bum the whole time but then the longest straight run was less than 300 miles so no more than a 3 hour drive.
Yes I know what you're thinking, must be a 204hp bad boy driver but no, 102hp, 5 speed box just a case of telling lies about how long it took to get anywhere and booking sites closer than 500 miles apart... more like 150 miles apart max.
Sorry to be even more contentious but am I the only one who doesn't like those football manager touchline chairs?🤔

All 3 of the BMW's that I've owned had extendable thigh supports.
I've no idea whether they still do or if there are adapters to fit them in VW's.

Probably but won't break the bank, you could probably fake something similar with cardboard and duct tape though, possibly a bit of memory foam borrowed from a spare pillow as an experiment.
@Pewt Golf seats do look pretty factory.

Thanks buddy ...i've since made some covers to hide the inner rails You don't see them in a Golf as they are tight to the center tunnel.
