Seats & Service

Hi all.
Just had an inspection performed on my 2018 transporter. One of the drive belts was worn due to a poorly designed belt adjuster so belt was replaced and adjuster changed to new type. Also informed that the sump is sweating oil (apologies for being vague. I’m British and live in Norway and the service guys English was not too good) but to not worry about it. She has 18,750 miles on her.
Driving to Portugal several times this summer in the van as we’re planning on emigrating and would like to install back seats. Anyone done it or had a garage do it and know what the cost is?
Thanks. julian

You’ll find lots of people selling Kombi rear seats, load mat and steps on here as they are often removed prior to conversion. Expect to pay around 1k. They can be fitted yourself, you have to drop the fuel tank to install the brackets into the floor. It’s not a difficult job and can easily be completed in a day
