You need to move back rest forward as much as you can to access the end of the back cloth underneath there's a long plastic rod that holds the front to the back togetherusing a pair of pliers pull those apart, basically its a u channel at the back where a single plastic rod sits in it.

you can then carefully pull the front and back a up little at the front there are some soft metal "rings" you'll need to undo a few of these enough to give you access to the two bolts that hold the armrest in place one on the inside of the frame the other outside.
there are several youtube videos out there which is what I used first.

like most things your doing for the first time this is just how I did it and I resent any inference that I cocked it up!!!!!
