Hi T6’ers

Please can you help with my solar set up…

I have the 150w panel on the roof and a victron controller to my leisure battery.

I would like the solar to maintain the leisure battery but I also have an eco flow portable power supply which charges via solar, 12v cigarette lighter or 240v mains..

So, which is the best route for the eco flow? Shall I just keep it plugged In via the leisure battery fed 12v lighter socket? Or can I feed a solar cable out of the load victron port and plug in when needed? Or… share the pv line with the eco flow directly (by disconnecting the roof solar from the victron each time I need to top up the ecoflow

I’m leaning towards just leaving the 12v plugged in!

Which ever give you the input you require?
Solar in the day/light. 12V at night or while driving?

I use an Eco Flow with the eco flow 150 solar panel, not sure i woudl ever go back to actually having a non portable solution.

That’s perfect, I love this forum, I didn’t even think about the driving charging!! saves extra cabling too

Also totally agree re the ecoflow it’s a real game changer and perfect for the awning etc

As above. Charge from 12v.

Use solar via Victron to charge leisure battery....

Then charge the Ecoflow from a the 12v, if you using a 12v socket current limit the Ecoflow to 6a to stop the soket from over heating.

Or hard wire with an XT60 or XT90 for full current 12v.

Would the xt60 come from the load port on victron or directly (fused) via the battery?

Still leaning towards the 12v lighter socket

I would take fused vfeed direct from battery.

12v socket will work fine, just current limit to 6A to stop the plug and socket melting.

The feature was added to newer FW versions.

Need your help

I can’t get to a status screen which shows how much solar is coming in..

Where is your solar controller?.

Looks like that's a Orion DC-DC charger.

And a battery protect

Victron smart mppt gives you the solar stats....

This is what I have.. ?? It’s missing the smart element so maybe that’s why I can’t see the solar input?

That's the blueslolar version.... It's not Bluetooth on board.

You will need the Bluetooth adapter.

...

The blue smart version has onboard Bluetooth.

Hi folks, posting on off the back of this excellent thread as I am considering a slight variant of it.

:waving: I've researched using many posts from this awesome forum, so thank you all for sharing and caring, you T6 legends one and all.

I have pre-ordered a Renogy 200W Solar Panel which I'm going to use to charge an EcoFlow River 2 Pro via the XT60 connection. The EcoFlow has an MPPT controller in it already.

I could just stop there however given I'm stripping the van for sound deadening and insulation I'm wondering if can achieve the following:
- use the solar to maintain the starter battery when I'm not using the van
- charge the EcoFlow from van when on the move

I'm assuming to do this I would need another device which I could switch the solar feed into to provide the trickle charge to the starter battery?

Would like to bring solar down from the roof and into a female XT60 socket mounted in the rear. (then onto the EcoFlow). Will also be looking to add 12V/USB/Ceiling Lights and Light Switch in rear. Could have another XT60 for the 12V so I can run it at full whack (no cig lighter heat up)??

Not planning on a leisure battery as I like the idea of a portable solution.
