The roof aerial blob, what's actually in there? Was wondering if I could use it to get solar panel wires inside? Anyone done that?

I think it’s the SOS module thingy. And someone has had yours sprayed.
If you have barn doors then a popular route is to use the blanked off mounting points for the tailgate hinges - should just have grommets in them.
Its not the SOS module itself, it's the primary LTE antenna, but don't mess with it all sorts of fault codes lie in your future if you do that

Nope that's the primary LTE only, there is a second backup LTE in a front wing, the third LTE is only used if you have the inductively coupled mobile phone antenna amplifier. DAB is drivers side, FM is both sides.
I don't know if the antennas swap sides for the RHS models in the UK, I suspect they don't.

Thank you, interesting. I've got a tailgate so can't go through there unfortunately. Don't really want to drill a hole in the roof but won't mess with the blob. Don't want any silly codes coming up ...
