Reversing camera T6.1 - Ampire KCX802 - Coding

Hello community,


I have a very important question regarding the coding of a rear view camera in my 2020 VW T6.1.

Unfortunately, when I put the vehicle in reverse, I only see a black screen, even though I have already coded it in VCDS. There is probably still an error somewhere.

I have set my Ampire KCX802 camera to ignition plus and connected the video input to pins 6 and 12 on my Discovery Media (YD7). In VCDS, I have already activated the RFK on control unit 5F and set byte 19, pin 4 to active. I have also activated the automatic RFK on control unit 10.

Are there any professionals here who can help me with this? I'm really desperate now and don't know what to do.

Could it be that it doesn't work at all with my radio because RFK is not provided as standard?

I would be grateful for any help.

If your screen changes to black when you go into reverse, it indicates to me that the 5F module is doing what it should, but the camera is not sending anything.
Did you connect the earth wire?
Does it also need a trigger wire connected to the camera to power up etc

Good evening.

I've purchased a volkswagen reverse camera input interface harness.

I have a discover media radio. I'm wanting to add a reverse camera to the radio.

The description for the harness says:

Adapter harness to add a reverse camera to an original volkswagen transporter T6 discover media radio screen. This harness has a built in interface to give ignition power and a reverse feed to the camera. Note: camera input function needs to be CODED to the van using VCDS.
