Retro Fit Front Fogs

Hi, sorry I know there are some threads out there already on fogs but I can’t seem to find the info I need. I have the Van Style pack in the picture. I need some advice really on where people are mounting the relay under the bonnet and does this need to be to bare metal for earthing reasons. Also once connected to the battery and fogs one single white cable is left to run through the bulkhead. Where does this go? Is there a specific PIN number it needs to be added too? Thanks in advance for any advice.

The single cable is the trigger for the foglights, if it is pre terminated with a crimped connector then it goes to the headlight switch plug and populates and empty pin
Great, thanks. That’s really helpful. Any reasons why there would be a problem mounting the relay here below the passenger light. Cables don’t seem long enough to potentially position anywhere else.

I'd put it somewhere accessible in case you ever need to get to it. I would zip tie it somewhere just out of sight.

Great thanks, that’s really helpful. I’ve run all the cables and pretty much ready to connect up. Is there any rules I need to follow when disconnecting the battery, order of disconnecting the positive and negative, or can I just leave it wired up and then just plug everything in leaving the battery connections to last. Thanks!

Disconnect battery negative first.
Then do all your wiring.
Last thing reconnect battery negative
