Replacement Reversing Camera

Hi,

I have an existing reversing camera - it's an aftermarket camera in conjunction with a Pioneer head unit.

It's been on the van for about 8 years and the picture quality has suddenly deteriorated - it's gone a pinky colour and very grainy - so thinking possibly water ingress.

How easy a job is it to replace - obviously wiring is already there so can I just disconnect old and connect a new one! I'm not very good at these things so probably best getting someone in the know to do it - just don't want someone trying to charge a lot for something that's actually straight forward - or if its not straight forward then at least prepare myself for the bill!

Thanks

Is it a pioneer camera ? If you could buy like for like then it shouldn't be too hard to swap .

Hi,

Near certain won't be - as I bought the head unit and conversion company supplied camera.

Apols - I was hoping 'simple' job of disconnecting camera and attaching new one - but assume I'm simplifying too much!?

Thanks

If you could find one that uses the same wiring connector then it may well be as simple as that .
