Reoccurring auto sliding door issue

Hi, I'm having issues with one of the automatic sliding doors on my T6.1. it's going into the garage for a 3rd time as they keep telling me it's fixed but it only works for a few days. Is it true I should be using the key fob to open it and not the handle? Sounds a bit odd to me?

Sounds like BS to me

I’ve got a 6.1 with twin electric sliders and use the handles most of the time

What does the Owners Manual say?

Using the key fob only is b0llocks. I have automatic doors and use the key, the dash switch and the handle with no problems at all.

One of the many improvements to the 6.1 over the 6 was smoother opening handles on the electric side doors.

It's really not good that dealers treat customer like idiots.

We use all methods on our 6.1 Caravelle.

Only thing we are cautious about is that the exterior handle on one side is a little looser than the other. So we try and remember that it's more of a "switch" and just pull it gently to activate then let go, rather than hauling on it to yank it open physically.
