Remap MPG

Would a remap give me more MPG?
I love everything about my T6 4motion Kombi accept the fuel consumption, Im averaging around 30mpg.
I wondered if anyone has had an remap and and if so what was the increase in mpg?

I have looked into this and the companies I spoke to said it all depends on driving style but you should expect to see approx 4mpg increase.
If you drive the same with the increased bhp and torque then the engine will be revving lower and hence get more mpg.

wow, thats not much at all, a mate of mine has an Audi and after a remap his mpg went from 37 to upper 40's (sometimes hitting 50).....
This is why I was interested but for the sake of a possibility of 4mpg I guess its not worth the bother :-(

They can give slight mpg increases but its the performance increase thats the main reason anyone gets a remap. Both my BMW’s drove significantly better after remap with less flat spots across the rev range.

How much would a remap cost on a T6?

I had my T6 204 4 motion LWB re-mapped at Pendle. Still getting around the 30mpg mark. Cost £375.00.
Worth it though.
Dave.

Benefits. More power and much smoother engine response, even over stock.
Mpg benefits......no.

Unless you go for an economy remap.

Didn't know there was different types of mapping - so I'm guessing the 'economy mapping' will give me more mpg than the 'more power' remap

None of the trusted companies (Pendle, Revo, Celtic) I spoke to did an "economy map.

Mpg improvments work off the logic, more power to get to cruising speed quicker, once cruising the mpg massively increases, longer time cruising = higher average mpg

Every map I have had has improved the drive over standard which is crazy considering they were all done by a teenage geek on a laptop in a car park ha

Not sure but @BognorMotors moght be able to help you out on that.

I paid circa £300 but had two cars done at same time. That was about 5 years ago mind you.

We don't get involved with re-maps, due to the warranty implications. Post warranty, I would only recommend REVO.
