Hi all

Can anyone recommend an installer in the Bristol area for a Reimo multirail? Or has anyone fitted their own how difficult is it?

Cheers
Stuart

@Coradia63 fitted a Reimo rail a few years back, comes with 2 sets of screws, 1 set for pre drilling and threading and 2nd set for final fix.
All straight forward 2 pairs of hands help, mark in position, pilot with self drillers, remove and clean off any swarf, silkaflex to the rail then fix into position. You do have to put a bit of pressure on to the rail as the van obviously isn’t straight then clean off any excess silkaflex, an hours job at most.
There are plenty of videos about showing you as well.
Hope this helps

I have just fitted two to my van it’s a two person job and although the rails come Pre-shaped I still had to give them a tweek.
The most annoying thing I found was after a day on salty roads the screws showed signs of corrosion so I had to clean them off and then covered the screw heads in silkaflex

I’m finally booked in for Reimo rail on Monday on my LWB :)

My Galli II has been sat in its box for weeks now waiting a sunny day for a test, still can’t believe how heavy it is. Weather looks rubbish again this weekend which is a bummer.

Just wanted to know if the multirail is handed for either side of the vehicle, i appreciate the rubber from profile is. i have just bought a pair but they look exactly the same with the same hole spacing when put next to each other, i would have assumed they were handed like the profile pieces.

Its the same rail for either side you just need to put a slight curve in usually to suit the side its being fitted to. Only the rubbers are handed

Thanks for that, I have bought two as have a twin slider T6, I was concerned that they were identical, I just have to deal with the fact one seems to be really bent out of shape, apparently supposed to be like that, I’m not quite so sure.
many comments more than welcome.

Are you refering to the bit on the end on the upper rail in your image. If so then that will be fairly close to the final shape required from memory

Agreed they are both the same, however one should not be more out of shape compared to the other.
I am working on mine yet again this weekend as the screws did suffer with corrosion, I put silkaflex over the top but this has shrunk slightly probably because it’s such a fine layer.
I am now going to paint over the heads with silkaflex primer and then use tiger seal.
When installing I did use silkaflex to fix them along with the screws provided but I have always been paranoid about water getting behind the screw heads!
