Regen Status On A Heads Up Display

Anybody know if any of those heads up displays show regen status from the ODB port?

I have the DPF Monitor app but I want a more permanent visual rather thsn having to connect to the phone every time.

For example, this is s nice looking one but no regen status that I can see on it. Presumably if it did have it they'd mention in the description/advert: Car HUD Head up Display, AMROOLOO Auto Car HUD, Newly Designed Speedometer, Displaying Speed, Time, etc. MPH and KM/H, with Speeding Alert and Fatigue Driving Alert, Suitable for All Models : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive

From what I have seen most of the HUDs are designed without too many options to change the display, and most are designed for speed, distance, fuel consumption etc info.
I think you would need to find one that allows customisation using the PIDs for the DPF information.

Another option is something like this perhaps ?:

The DPF indicator lets view information on DPF regeneration and the soot mass in the filter itself. A regeneration is signaled visually by a LED blinking scale and acoustically by a sound signal. For diesel car from either VW, Skoda, Audi or Seat, engine beginning with D.

Is that not the one connector and display in one so that the display will be at the one connector? If so I wonder if someone does a obd extension lead
 
Although this doesn't answer your question directly, and coming from someone who is a little paranoid about regens ...
What I do i is reset the odometer after I notice a regen has finished.

I know with my van that if I do lots of town driving the next regen is around 175miles, lots of motorway driving is around 220miles and average is about 200miles.
When odometer gets to that point, when I am at traffic lights or about to park up, check the revs and if they are at 1000rpm, then it is doing a regen. If not, it isn't.
If I can't hear it as I'm on a motorway then it doesn't matter.

If I know it is doing a regen, I'll keep an eye on it and reset odometer when it is done.
If it isn't reset then I know any multiple of 200miles - due a regen so keep an extra eye out.
Not a biggie once you get used to it and make sure to check rev counter before switching off engine.

Scroll down to related items, they do a extension and a little bracket so you can dash mount it if you want.

Exactly what I do - DPFMonitor works with Android Auto and CarPlay and, if you have the app on your screen, gives you an audible alert when a regen starts and ends.

Yup. This approach works & I have it on carplay & it does the job. I wanted a separate "hardware" option to this though so I don't need to connect to phone. I was hoping one of the HUD's might have regen built into it but doesn't seem so. I'll try the device manfrotto posted a link to & see how that goes.
