Recommendations for Suspension specialist in Bristol

I have a T6.1 (T30) 2.0 Highline DSG 150 (2020) converted into a camper about 5 years ago. The ride is awful so I need a specialist in Bristol for advice on suspension, wheels and tyres to put it right! It currently has 20” Fondmetal Alloys, cheap Triangle 275/35/R20 tyres and all I know about the suspension is that it’s adjustable sports coil over suspension. I’m going around in circles with conflicting advice so need help! Cheers in advance. Photo as rough guide of current stance

Make the trip to CRS Performance in Cannock.
Not that far up the M5 and well worth it.
I went up from Bath in May. Wish I had done so a year or three ago.
They will be happy to chat through options on the phone. Steve is a genuine guru.
Cracking service and good value too.

As you don’t know exactly where I live I think I should know. Accordingly to Google maps it’s 3 hours and 7 minutes one way from me so that is circa 6hours and 15 minutes round trip at this time of night so being sensible about it up to 7 hours. So I’d have to be travelling at over 100 mph most of the journey to do it in 4 hours! 🙄

Hi.

I’m also in Bristol, I’m running two 3 T6s two with SoLow NSLs & one with Bilstein Komfort Lows

I used to have stance on a previous van and working around Bristol & Bath they were awful and went through several rear springs and finally a front shock as the roads are so bad.

All of my current set ups are great, any reputable independent garage will fit for you and then I would advise to get 4 wheel alignment & cambers done at FCM motorsport which is off of Feeder Road, as if you don’t you’ll eat rear tyres quicker than you like.

The solow kit is made by Bilstein for so low them selves and comes up a couple of hundred pounds cheaper than the Bilstein komfor kit

I have recently been recommended to CRS Performance aswell just through conversations, so I have them a call and they were very helpful although couldn’t offer me a set up as low as I would like, I think they said they only go 75mm which is very low given the large factory gap from standard.

Hope this info I relatively helpful

Cheers

Thanks for all the info much appreciated. I spoke to a specialist in Cambridge and he recommended SoLow NXT plus premium 265/40/20 tyres for my setup. The recommended the nearest SoLow specialist in Cirencester but I will try FCM Motorsport as your suggest. Thanks 🍻

I went up from Bath first thing on a Saturday. No traffic. Did it in about 2 hours. Busier coming back, but still not an issue.

Like Foots says you don't need a specialist you just need the right kit and a competent garage .
I fitted our bilstein b14 probably about 9 years ago (along with H&R arbs) and if I do it again I'm going for SoLows next time.
New top mounts and drop links at the same time.
