Rear Wiper Cover Fitting (without wiper)

Morning all,

Just put my tailgate panel I and wondering if anyone had fit the wiper motor cover without the wiper? If so how did you fix it? Just the 2 plug and grommets at the bottom? Cheers Kev

I filled mine in before carpet lining, with some shaped timber and sikaflexed in place

Hi Kev
I only did the bottom ledge and cut it inline with the tailgate seal, I did the infil to give the curtains or blinds a neater finish, it’s all reversible if I need a rear wiper fitted later.

Is that the boot release switch? Is that the factory position? I’m in the process of fitting one.

It’s one off a Ford Focus but fits in the tailgate recess perfectly. At £6 a good mod.
Plenty on EBay

Do you have the part numbers please as that’s something I want to do.

Yes did that with ours, there are two trim clips as well as a plastic clip that normally attaches to the wiper motor. The trim clips are enough to hold it fine.

Also added the internal factory button.

The switch is 7E5959831 and the bezel is 7E5959527. Not sure on the plug I’m afraid sorry. I got mine from @Pauly as he had one made up with the plug but I’m not sure whether he generally sells them at the mo.

I have already added an illuminated momentary push switch that releases the tailgate. Will i need the cables?
