Rear Wheel arch liner and heat shield

Hi, reassembling my t6 after carrying out some rust prevention. Should this tin heat shield go inside or outside the lip of the plastic wheel arch liner please? Could someone send me a photo of what it should look like? This is the driver's side rear arch. Thanks!

Mine is like that, a gap between plastic and heatshield.

Great thanks. I wasn't sure if the plastic lip should go on the outside, over the edge of the heat shield. Good to know I have it the right way round thanks!
