Rear Mirror Camera

Van: VW Transporter Highline T6 with blank barn doors. I am looking to install a Road Angel camera as a digital mirror. It's not going to be used as a reverse camera and it should be installed high on the vehicle rear to maximise the mirror view of traffic. But, where to place it? I intend to house the camera behind the door - rather than external surface mounted - with a hole created for the camera to 'see' through. Only place I can fathom is high on the offside rear door just off centre (where door is single skin). Has anyone else dealt with this issue of placement?

Right, I've just bought this (it's a mystery Christmas present, if the Mrs asks!).

It's not cheap, but I just spent 3k on an Alpine stereo and speakers, so I figured what the Hell?!

There's a guy in Germany where you can buy it for about £440 instead of £600+.
