Rear Door Wont Unlock

I cannot unlock the rear door. i have tried with the keyfob, the lock/unlock on the driver pillar and with the key. but the outside handle just stays loose. i cannot try inside handle without ripping out a secure bulkhead that has been fitted. access to the storage area is from the rear door only. i had this issue a while back but it went on its own and hasnt returned until now. the storage area has been lined, but no sound dampaning was put in the rear doors, they were only covered.

its less than a year old, would this be covered by a warrenty if it is a fault

If it's less than a year old I'd be taking it down the nearest dealer and getting it sorted under the warranty

@X422MAN my understanding is that the vehicle is warranted for three years and this issue is covered as a manufacturing defect.
