I’m looking to change the rear crankcase seal on my CAAC engine at the same time as clutch, DMF and slave. Is anyone able to tell who make a good OEM equivalent seal would be as the genuine VW part is mega bucks

Hi how did you go on with this?

I have a 2.0 engine, and have found the original Housing is different, in plastic and the o ring would sit flat on the engine block as opposed to the Victor Reinz part being a ally housing and the seal doesnt appear to sit flat to the block due to the raised holes where bolts fasten through, Dont fancy installing it if wrong interested to hear how you got on, thank you, see pictures of my seals

I ended up using a genuine part. I checked out a Febi seal which was a plastic sort of material whereas the VW part was metal. I didn’t want to take the chance of the plastic seal failing or not fitting properly so bit the bullet and went VW.
