Rear Camera Issues After Insulating

sound deadened/insulated the tailgate and now my camera has stopped working and intermittently telling me park assist not available.
only thing that was disconnectected was the inside door release, Have checked all connections and none feel loose.
not currently got access to vcds.
Any ideas?

It could be the connection to the reversing light. Both the camera and rear sensors are activated by putting into reverse, the feed for this is from the reverse light.
I’m not certain but if you have front sensors and the park assist button, activating by the button might prove this one way or other so worth a go if you have the option.

Don't have front sensors, reverse light on ok, when in reverse the screen on media player shows differing images each time, sometimes rear range image on whole screen or on left hand side as if there is camera image on right or message 'park pilot currently unavailable', but never any caera image.
scratching my head, all plug/sockets have been wiggled
