Rear Camera For Caravelle

Hi all just looking for recommendations for a supply/fit of a rear camera near Bournemouth. I've got the discovery media and PDCs all round. cheapest I've seen so far is £800 fitted - but thats only on a Google search.

Yeah thats the one i found, £850 fitted. I'm not that bothered but er indoors fancies one - her spatial awareness isn't the best!!

Those guys have done work for me, they aint cheap. but it's all OEM quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

And obviously they are local to you as well.

Yep they do seem to stand out so if you want it done proper then throw the coin i guess & travel time is a factor for sure

There must be a cheaper way! I’ve been looking at this for a while now, have considered a 2nd screen somewhere else for ease. But unsure!

You can use aftermarket cameras just need to get the cable into the back of the headunit
I have been thinking about trying to make some adapter leads to allow phono plug cameras to connect to VW headunit

@Pauly Yes that’s easy enough, I’m just unsure which sockets the video feed leads would need to go in.

I’ve got the upgraded screen with app connect.

It goes into pins 6 and 12 on the rear of the connector and I have the crimp pins for those of required

@Pauly okay great that confirms the pins I thought it was from my research online. So just need to match that up on back of the unit now.

Oh do you! Okay might take some of those off you then, how much are they?

I have a Kenwood rear camera is fine for what I needed 200.00 fitted.

this was a after market head unit Kenwood DNX 518VDABS its fitted just about the number plate works for me.
