I managed to pull mine off by accident today and it dose not want to pop back on. Before I get rough with it and potentially damage it or my windscreen, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows how they go back on.
It's a T6 with rain sensor wiring.

I can’t say I do, but whilst it’s off, does it look like it’ll rotate 180°..? I ask because I think it looks off that it has the widest section at the top whilst the rear window has its widest section at the bottom, that that bit is just flaming my OCD.
I figured it out. Remove the trim piece that sits next to the headlining, then you can twist the fitting into place and finally re-fit the trim piece.
Sorry ADS, I forgot to check if you can rotate the mirror, but looks like you can.
