Radio Wiring

Evening all.

I fitted a Kenwood DMX8021DABS to my T6 Startline today and had a couple of questions on the wiring.
The wiring kit I used was the Connects2 CTKVW17.

On the standard head unit, you could turn it on without the ignition, and when turning the engine off, it would stay on until the key was taken out. Can this happen with the aftermarket unit or do you need the ignition on?

Also, which wire would I need to tap into to bypass the handbrake restrictions? Could I use the main black earth cable in the adaptor loom?

@Absolut5 I've read some posts where you said you can supply usb and dab retention adaptors, could I get a quote on these please?

hiya

Do you have factory parking sensors?

No aftermarket unit has the ability like the stock head unit to switch on manually , a separate switch is needed

Yes we can supply the dab adapter but we do not use retention kits with the 8021 as there are to many connections that affect the performance of the usb. We bond the little black C-A adapter into the USB trim, looks stock
