Bit of help here would be very much appreciated,I'm in the process of wiring in my dashcam I was going to use the 12v socket in the top tray but its permanent live and I want a ignition live so I decided on fitting another socket in the top tray on the opposite side, I've ran a twin wire down to the fuse box, what I want to know is which ignition live fuse to piggy back off and where to earth it,would it be ok to run a wire across underneath the tray to the existing 12v socket to earth it and if so which is the earth (3 wires red brown and grey I'm guessing brown ?) if this is not a good idea any thoughts on where to run it
many thanks

I would run the earth to the edge of the dash where it meets the door, if you remove the trim panel for the side of the dash there are some screws to the chasis you could use, Thats where I earthed mine.

are you a T6 or T6.1? on a T6 you can piggy back off one of the fuses in the central fuse column, these are ignition live. do a search on here to find which one most people have used.

Thanks for that David yes T6 did you have to remove the glove box to route the wire to there
