Hey Guys,
Following the advice from the forum, I fitted the excellent BM2 Bluetooth battery monitor to the starter battery. Despite being careful whilst installing the device I realised that the battery had become disconnected as the clock needed to be reset. Everything worked okay except the Sony radio which uses a Canbus adapter. It was completely dead.
I checked the radio fuse followed by the van fuses and they were all okay.
After a bit of thought, I disconnected the battery again, touched the two battery cables together, which I think discharges or resets the BCM (?), connected everything back up and this time everything worked okay including the radio.
I thought this might help someone in the future.
Cheers
Nick
