Hi guys.

My van was first registered on 26 Jan 2023, so my factory warranty is about to expire. I've got an email form VWCV that states "the warranty on your Transporter 6.1... expires on 26/01/2026", but does this mean the warranty expires at midnight on the 25th or at midnight on the 26th?

Appreciate I'm being a pedantic git, but I want to understand if I need to start my All-in Plan tonight or tomorrow night.

TIA

Hmm, well the VWFS system is not offering me the all-in plan - just the standard service plan or the plus version.

Do I presume from this that my factory warranty is still active?

God, I 🤬ing hate VW!!!!!

You get 36months included.

With an extra 24 months of you opted for the extra 2yr factory warranty.

Call your dealer, they can scheduler the all ti start straight away... That's what I done... Then there is no break in cover.

As of this morning, the VWFS website is still not offering me the option of the All-in Plan, so I gave them a call. They weren't really sure why , but suggested I try again tomorrow, just in case the factory warranty was active until the end of today.

This is getting silly now!

The VWFS website is still not offering me the option of the All-in Plan, even though my factory warranty has now definitely expired.
Called VWFS and they can't help - they have no idea why the option isn't offered and told me to call the dealer.
Called the Van Centre in Cleckheaton (JCT600) but no-one answers - I get put through to a voicemail service eventually, only to get the message "This inbox is full. Goodbye".

What the 🤬 is going on!! Is everything in this country broken?

you can call any VWCV garage . . . call the next nearest one.

or - just drive down there and walk in through the door.

not sure how far your local one is?

The dealer / garage will set it all up for you. . . then you start getting a montly letter / invoice from VWCV FS detailing your ALL-IN cover.

They are my nearest van centre, but they're not that near. Anyway, got through to reception and have a promise of a call-back.🤞

lol . . . yep i feel your pain.

been there many many many times over the years.

i hope they can sort it out for you over the phone, without needing you to go to them to sign or pay anything.

(FYI - are you sure you haven't got the extended FACTORY warranty? for years 4+5? i has to be purchased within a month of getting the van from new - thats what i had, and could NOT START the ALL-IN untill the extra cover had run out, ie 5years old)

Deffo not got any extended warranty - I recently got an email from VWFS offering me an extended warranty and that's what got me looking to purchase the all-in plan.

I had the same problems with the extended warranty and All In plan - VWFS (when I got through) told me I had to speak with the dealer, dealer told me it was VW who dealt with it. Eventually, my salesman took it on himself to sort it out on my second visit to the dealers as he could see my rising level of frustration. It's crazy that VW make life so difficult for they customers who stay loyal to the brand.

Yup, crazy. I've got £1100 and it's burning a hole in my pocket!! 🤪

I had the same problem, I would wait for a deal before getting all in too
Interesting comment. 🤔

Do they do deals other than on Black Friday? Also, if I wait, what are the implications of having a gap in warranty?
