They had a deal in the summer, mine was not covered for a while to wait for a deal and renewed in June. No more after it runs out this summer, not that I’ve ever used anything but the servicing and mots
Yes, in general (see my own thread about) I find VAG quite unpleasant when it comes to offer warranty / extension. I really cannot understand why. I mean they should like that a Customer wants to pay (dearly) in advance for a service. I had the opposite experience with all the thers, especially Mercedes, where the whole process (getting a long warranty on a used vehicle and / or extending the warranty until 7 years ) was very smooth.
As a newcomer to VW I find that they offer very good vehicles but questionable service to say the least.
As expected, I didn't receive the promised call-back from the van centre (JCT600).
The VWFS website, however, was showing the All-in Plan as available to purchase, so I made my purchase.
I considered postponing until there was a sale, but concluded that making alternative arrangements for breakdown cover in the intervening period would eat most of the possible saving.
@Bav
I bought my all in when the Black Friday deal was on.
I took my van in at the end of the warranty to get a new heated screen and new Sportline wing badges and the dealer said the discounted All in was coming in and would call me to take my card details for the £800 ish…
Guess what. Still waiting for the phone call so luckily I bought it myself like you!!
To be fair AFAIK the dealers don't earn any money from the all-in package, as the funds are paid direct to vwfs.
So there is no incentive for them to get on top of it.
They do however, earn money when you take your van back to them and get work done under said extended warranty as vwfs will pay them directly for any warranty work that is approved.
