Van is ready for collection the weekend so thought I'd start a build thread ready for the personal bits that will come next . I've always built my own cars but this time i've been lucky enough to have the opportunity to get it done for me .

It all began a few years back when I bought a VW caddy. I fitted insulation and carpet along with a full colour change and wheels etc that myself and the wife fell in love with and the idea of camping all year round not just In a tent.
The caddy was sold to help with a house move and a VW Tiguan was bought to use. After the house move we soon realised that the Tiguan only got used to go camping so the desion was made to get a transporter .
Few months of looking and contacting companies Vanworx in Portland was chosen as they are VW accredited and sorted me a great deal.
A new T6 t32 204 dsg highline kombi in Mojave beige was ordered with a selection of optional extras
2x swivel seats
Led headlights and tail lights
Cab carpet
Tailgate with heated glass
Second battery
App connect
Comfort dash
2x usbs
Comp media
Acoustic pack
Removable tow bar
Reverse camera
Folding mirrors
Then a Vanworx sport pack
Bilstein b16s
20" Vossen vfs1 staggered
Side bars
Rear spoiler
For the conversion itself we went for a custom version of the Vanworx Chesil 4berth
Adding a Webasto heater, multi rail and a single hob/sink combo to keep the floor area clear for passengers.
Lucky got the plate from dvla for a reasonable price to.
A few pictures of the van before
Once they started to strip it down
Roof fitted
Suspension
Wheels (yes they are correct for a t32)
Units going in
