Powerstation?

Apologies if this has been discussed already.

Has anyone gone down the powerstation route, such as Bluetti or Jackery, instead of the usual leisure battery etc.

Particularly the alternator charging kit that Bluetti offer? And solar?

Interested to hear thoughts and pros and cons. Thanks 🙌

From the search function - a good place to start.

Yes it's been discussed before. I'm sure there was someone a few weeks ago, doing this very install

Tons of threads now.

The short cut is that the 12v output isn't good enough to run a full 12v league system with heater.

But you can use a 12v charger in PSU mode.... That's fed from the portable power banks 240ac supply.

I love my Bluetti AC180, but it is used in addition to the onboard 'standard' system, which naturally is hidden away in a space that would otherwise be wasted!!
The Bluetti comes in useful down the bottom of our garden for powertools, and kept the MIL happy last week during a power cut!
The Bluetti has its own 220w Renogy suitcase style solar panels, when camping it powers all the bits in the awning.
I wouldn't want to rely on just the Bluetti though, the van system has to power 2 compressor fridges, the diesel heater, lighting and all other van related power neediness.

A cracking peice of kit.

But it's a beast.... I've yet to see someone fit that in a T6.

I had problem just getting a Delta 2 in there.
I'm getting to the point where i may regret ordering mine....

I think that it will fit under a RIB bed but sadly i am looking at going the U shape route and really want a rear pull out drawer that is limiting my options.

I have been drawing this up and due to the stupidly large connector for the D1, i am struggling to work out where i would place it without loosing something that i want. I may have to see if anybody wants to swap for a smaller unit.

Yep . .

The T6 will always be a compromise in space for a camper / conversion.

The seat bases are a no brainer to fit leisure stuff. . .

ie - 460ah of battery + DC-DC

i managed to squeeze this in the back of the cupboard...

Thanks. Are you running a inverter too?
Add in 1* Victron phoenix inverter. (I have the 3kva version)

Plus some 2.5mm cable, copex and a couple of plug sockets.... I added in a couple of RCBO breakers in the 240v side.
