Posts being deleted.

There were some posts on a thread with links in that I saw a couple of days ago.

Just now I have been back to the thread to look for the links as I wanted to follow them to an external site, however the posts seem to have been removed.

At least one of the removed posts was mine.

I didnt realise it was possible to delete other peoples posts and if it can be done for what reason are posts being deleted?

Posts #25 and #26 disappeared but they are back again now! If you read the thread I replied Scott6 saying they are H4s then someone corrected me because they thought I was responding to the post about to some H7s on facebook. At the time I replied saying posts were missing.

All very odd.

That one looks like a glitch in the software, there's no history of an edit by anyone.

The Victron thread was "tidied", let me see if we can put them back..

I hate chatter on Sale posts - particularly when they are of no benefit to the sale - and these ones were for someone effectively trying to haggle whilst linking to a different item.

I saw yours - and noted the apology - and saw it’s relevance, hence it being left.

As for you coming down this way and stealing tyres... they’re going on this week!

If a non-VIP has added a cheeky “I’ve got some of these for sale too” then they would have been deleted, which may shift some questions and answers around. We all pay our subs, so that’s only fair that we moderate that.

Also, to add, I’ve been merging a few threads. I try and get in there before too many answers are provided, so that the members whom are interested in whatever the topic may be, can be notified of the new question by way of it being on their watch list. Seems better to have one thread with a lot of info than several with bits here and there. This can cause a few dead links, so apologies in this instance. What can I say; the power is getting to me

That would be better and a the reason, ie which forum rule it broke so as people dont keep making the same mistake.

What I meant was, if they had been deleted from that thread they would still be there for me to see/undelete but there are no missing post in the topic you mentioned. The only way they can be missing is if they have been moved /merged to a different thread.

If I've ever commented on a thread and its been deleted or moved, I get a notification telling me that.
