Pop roof sleeping board loose

Please help, my pop top sleeping board has come loose. The 4 screws have snapped.

Can I put longer TEK screws in to secure this board? Are there any wiring looms ?IMG_1935.webp

I had a similar problem, I managed to clear the thread and replace with 35x4mm screws (from 35x3.5mm).
I also carefully fitted another screw mid distance.
I wouldn’t go for longer screws personally.

Thanks TrevorK, I’m not sure if the existing screws sheared off as they look like they have plus they are no longer than the board.

Did you have to unbolt the piston to allow you to push the board back in line? There is now only one screw left. I agree about fitting an additional screw, to make 3 each side.

I’m so worried about this, so any advice is appreciated.

So if I go for 35mmx 4mm TEK screws like you suggested Trevor I reckon that will work.

If the old screws have sheared off like I suspect and still in the hole’s, I guess I’ll have to drill new hole’s?

Sorry for delay, I didn't get the update.

I put the bed board down flat and worked from there.

I did not touch the pistons.

I find that the off-side screws still loosen a little whilst driving so I check them before a long trip.

I considered gluing the screw threads, but wonder if the screws would enlarge the holes over a period of time?
