Pop Top v High Top

I think it really just depends on how you’re planning to use the van.

Pop-top is great if you still want to use it as a daily driver. You can get into most car parks and it feels more like a normal van, plus the extra bed up top is a bonus. Downsides are you’ve got to put it up every time, and it’s not the warmest or quietest in bad weather.

High-top is the opposite really — way more comfortable if you’re spending a lot of time in the van. You’ve got proper standing room all the time and more storage, which makes a big difference on longer trips. But yeah, you do notice the extra height when driving or parking.

If it’s mainly weekends and shorter trips, I’d go pop-top. If you’re thinking longer trips or loads of time in the van, high-top probably makes more sense

We are a bunch of Transporter fan boys though, as with a modest amount of searching I'm sure there's more than one thread on here arguing how on earth could someone install an upturned bath tub poptop instead of a wafer thin Hilo (remember them) style top?
There's also the Transporter owners who are happy to spend their camping holidays building callouses on their knees and head rather let someone take a saw to the roof.🤕

Perfect, compact summary. 👌
