Just looking for recommendations as to the best way to polish the stainless steel sidebars. Thanks

Years ago we used Brasso...once it’s polished spray over with WD40 (Stops water marks ):)

once they're gleaming and shiney... then spray with ACF-50 to keep them looking good for longer...

Thanks for the replies. In my experience of using ACF50 that just attracts dirt. Protects from rust granted.

Please DO NOT use WD40 for that purpose as it is highly aggressive and in long run will cause more damage than advantage.
Take ur point..seems that over the years the standards of steel ( foreign imports) is now not as high grade as British steel was...and for that matter chrome plating has gone down hill...but as you say what worked once regarding WD 40 does not now....it’s more about price than quality....sad times:unsure:

I'm having a nightmare trying to get the original finish back on my bars.
They are very badly tarnished from 3 years of neglect by the previous owner.
Anyone know of a good felt wheel for a rotary before i buy the wrong item.
I used megs all metal polish and 0000 wire wool but the finish is not mirror like original.
I've tried my da with a pad but its not suitable i feel.
Any help will be much appreciated
