Planar Heater Controls Fitted Overhead

Hi, Im looking to fit the Planar heater controls in the little pocket/tray above the driver/passanger next to the interior light.

has anyone done this and is there a mounting plate available to buy or does everyone just make their own?

Any issues with mounting it here? Pics would be great. TIA

If the thermostat is inside the control unit and you mount it in the highest point you might find it’s hard to control the temperature.
I don’t have a Planar heater or control but the same applies to other heaters.
If you are sleeping in the van I find it’s beneficial to not have the van lit up like a Christmas tree with displays that are in view.

I'd run the optional temp sensor to mid van height well away from the direct blow from the heat outlet.

I think I saw a video where they set the thermostat to run off the inlet temp which they said gives better results within the van.
