Cleaned the metal with a cellulose thinner to get rid of any contamination then 4-5 light coats of stove paint, quick rub down with wet & dry in between.

I can provide a base suitable to your required height which the pit would sit on. Not sure what cost would be as would need to draw it to price it.
But yea anything is possible

As it’s stainless steel does it need the paint? Can’t work out if I like it silver or black or to just leave it to go black over time

Peter,
You have it inside out.
Take the sticker off (protective film) so the brushed stainless is on the outside.

I would always paint anything that is outside. But the stainless will look nice. Especially when you make it up the right way

Still like the silver…probably best to paint it though

I hadn’t realised either that there is a right/wrong way - what’s the difference between the two sides and does it matter?

Under the coating is brushed stainless steel.
The back is dull stainless.

thanks guys, feel free to chase. unfortunately the supplier's having a few supply issues of his own
but i am on his back pestering him constantly and have send him another email this morning asking for an update.
